Čololo Santas is a working family ranch deep in Botswana's Kgalagadi — home to strong Santa Gertrudis cattle, Boer goats, sheep, chickens and horses.
The Veld
Where the red sand meets a red herd.
On the edge of the Kgalagadi, our animals roam sweet Kalahari grass between camelthorn trees. Our herd is dominantly cattle — deep-red Santas bred for hardiness, fertility and calm temperament in semi-arid country.
Alongside the cattle we run Boer goats, sheep, free-scratching chickens and working horses — a full, living ranch in one of the world's most beautiful drylands.
